You can utilize the MitID app for logging in, digitally signing documents, and authorizing actions on various self-service websites. MitID adheres to the latest security standards, ensuring a secure online identity verification process. If you need to approve actions on your mobile or tablet, it can be done effortlessly with a single swipe in the app. On your computer, however, you will need to scan a QR code.
Take care of your MitID:
- Do not share your user ID or codes with others.
- Always carefully review what you are about to approve with MitID. If you see an action that you don't want to approve or an action you haven't initiated, press 'Reject' located in the top left corner of the app.
- Never approve anything using MitID based solely on a call, an email, or a visit from someone claiming to be from your bank, a support organization, or a government authority.
Keep a MitID in reserve:
Keeping an extra MitID in reserve is highly recommended. By having an additional MitID as a backup, you can still use MitID even if, for instance, you lose your phone with the app installed or forget to activate the app on a new phone after uninstalling it from the old one.
